Fiberglass Pultrusion Gripper Tool
These tools were used in fiberglass pultrusion machines to pull fiberglass profiles from forming dies. Special care has to be taken to ensure damage to the profiles were avoided during potential profile shifting.
Double Mat Dispenser
New fiberglass designs required a different approach to dispensing fingerless matting into the dies. This weldment allowed for four narrow mat spools to be closely held side by side.
Nike End Caps
These were displays for the ends of shoe racks at Famous Footware. When Nike calls, you get going! In 3 days I;
-Modeled these endcaps in Solidworks
-Drafted the 2D drawings, including assembly instructions
-Programmed and operated the CNC router form the outer shell.
-Sourced the magnets, formed sheet metal, and powdercoating.
In than 3 weeks we built, packed and shipped 250 units. Quite a rush!
Flexco Aero Lift
Low cost small crane accessory for the Flexco Aero Press. This was a fun project to work on. Simple mechanics but that allowed us to really focus on the look and feel of it. Nice polished fits and a pleasing look.
Battery Cover Assembly Machine
This machine allowed two workers to assemble battery covers, used in large trucks. This was a massive undertaking, everything from sample measurements, part modeling, assembly modeling, collision detection, and system powering was done by myself.
Electronic Card Test Unit
This assembly would hold up to three circuit boards for vibration and atmospheric testing. This was a pretty simple project, except for constantly having to check for FAA compliance.
